Digiscoping by Trevor Codlin continued...

The Results

Below, you can see a few samples of pictures taken through telescopes. All of the pictures shown have been taken using various Nikon Digital cameras and a Swarovski AT80HD.

Nikon Coolpix 800 Camera Nikon Coolpix 800 c/w Swarovski AT 80 HD & 30xw

As you can see from the two pictures above, the magnification available is stunning. The view taken on the left is with the Nikon Coolpix 800 set on telephoto. On the right is the close up view using a 30x eyepiece.

The two pictures above, were video grabs from my Sony PC100 E. As you can see there is a fair amount of vignetting in the right hand picture. This could be easily removed using computer software.

Although not the best subject matter in the world, these three pictures below, show the range of magnification that is available with a video camera and telescope.

The top shot is taken on the wide angle setting of the video camera...

...the middle shot is the 10x zoom of the video camera...

...and the bottom shot is the video camera through the Swarovski Telescope.

These next two pictures (below) were taken with a Nikon coolpix 800 (left), and then through a Swarovski AT80HD c/w 30x lens. You can see the small boat on the other side of the harbour.
