Located in the north-central area of the Province of Corrientes, the Esteros del Ibera Natural Reserve is one of the most important fresh water marshes in America. This system of bogs, lagoons, marshes, creeks and savannahs occupies an area of 1.300.000 hectares of which 24.550 of these have been declared Wetland of International Importance by Ramsar in 2001.

In terms of biodiversity, the Esteros del Ibera are the Serengeti of America. Its broad diversity of plant communities such as "embalsados", carpets of floating vegetation around the bodies of open water, aquatic prairies, Carandá-î palm forests, spiny scrublands and swamps provides a great variety of habitats to numerous animals. With at least 125 different species of fish, 40 species of amphibians, 60 species of reptiles, 344 species of birds, 57 species of mammals and approximately 381 species of plants and trees, the Esteros del Ibera are a paradise and a must for all nature lovers.

Located only 10 km from Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, in the Iberá wetlands, the Estancia San Antonio offers you the unique opportunity of experiencing to experience the magic of nature and its people.

Come and enjoy a full day or half a day at the Estancia San Antonio doing bird watching. Guided walks that will take you through different habitats where more than 300 bird species can be observed.
