Open all year, Dee-Emm Bed & Breakfast offer a double room with private bathroom in a quiet location about 0.7 miles from the Ferry Terminal at Craignure. Turn left off the ferry and our B&B sign has two Puffins on it. We have 6 feeders in our garden and three nest boxes. Regular visitors include Siskin, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Sparrowhawk. We also run wildlife trips around the island. Peter is a Tour Operator and will pick up off the 10.46 ferry arrival in Craignure and get back for the 5.00pm sailing from Craignure to Oban. We regularly see Golden Eagles, White-tailed Eagles. Otters, Red Deer, divers, ducks, waders, other raptors and many smaller birds. We have space for 2, 3 or 4 people. Why not combine your B&B with a wildlife trip.

The St Clair Arms Hotel at Castle Town in Caithness, 24 bedroom with en-suite facilites situated a short distance away from Dunnet Beach and Dunnet Links Nature Reserve.

For birdwatchers, Dunnet Beach is a short distance from the hotel. This area as well as the head land and the area in behind the beach called Dunnet Links is of particular interest to Ornithologists. Inland lochs, the sea shore, the dunes and rocky cliffs provides an abundance of wild life. Regular breeding birds include Red-throated Diver, Peregrine, Red Grouse, Black Guillemot and uncommon birds such as Snow Bunting,Whooper Swan Great and Arctic Skuas, Waxwing and vagrants such as King Eider and Red-rumped Swallow have also been seen.
