| FOSSIL - SERVICE CREEK STAGE STOP

Nestled deep in ancient canyons of the John Day River, Service Creek Stage Stop is a travelers' oasis. With a key to the past we offer rest for the weary traveler and a haven for the intrepid explorer.
The house, once a 1920's boarding house, is located on twenty-six acres across Service Creek from the old livery barn. It is now a six room, four bath, bed and breakfast catering to individuals, families, and groups. The store, restaurant, and raft rental businesses are next door on the site of the original Service Creek post office.
The Journey Through Time Scenic Byway meets the National Wild and Scenic John Day River at Service Creek, which coincidentally is centrally located between the three units of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument making it a natural base for your explorations.
