Europe/France

France possesses great geophysical variety providing endless opportunities for the visiting birdwatcher. The country boast some of Europe's finest rivers, large expanses of forest and important mountain systems including the Alps, the Pyrenees and the Massif Central as well as 2,000 miles of coastline. And of course, France is home to the Camargue, a vast area of lagoons and marshes, home to several thousand Greater Flamingos as well as many other rare european species including herons, ducks and gulls. The Pyrennees hold the possibility of Booted and Bonelli's Eagle, Egyptian Vulture and Lammergeier.
