Location: Gambia - eastern side of No-kunda wetlands North bank
Sightings: Whilst leading a tour for BIRDSEEKERS in early Dec 2004 3 Desert Sparrows were observed for about 5 minutes along the road on the eastern side of the wetlands, before flying into dense grasses some 200 yds away from the road. This represents the 1st record for The Gambia and Senegal, with the nearest known breeding birds in Mauretania and Chad!
