Joe, I agree fully with Colin's comments. Very well done. How do you get close to these? I have only seen them off shore in Langstone and they are at leat 100yds away. Too far for even a fl of 500mm.

peter,
up here in andover we have rooksbury mill lakes, the one in m sunset photo normaly holds 4 pairs of gadwall, 2 water rail and tufted ducks
but the main lake is only twice the size and it has 2 pairs of the grebes on so its not unusual to be within 10 foot of them hense why i get lots of photos of them we even get the odd pair of shoveler and pochard for some photos too and 500mm isnt too bad even for them
