Thanks Paul. These birds are tiny, much smaller than a coot. You have to get th light right to bring out the rich colours. There are a pair of these near the viewing point on Farlington Marshes. They occasionally come out in the sunshine.

Thanks for your comment Bob. I know where this bird lives in the reedbed and I wait nearby and sometimes I am lucky. They are really handsome.
