This morning, the great gray owl that has been observed for the past
several weeks near the intersection of Kachemak Drive and e. End Rd.
in HOmer, was found dead on the road, evidently hit by a car. ( I
took it home to preserve in freezer for now. It was very mangled, but
also very very thin, mostly bones!) A sad day .
