The male Hooded Warbler was seen about 9:30 am this morning in the Desert Garden at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum (admission fee) and was refound several times and was still present when I left the museum at 1:30 pm.
It was seen throughout the Desert Garden exhibit area, but most often in the hedge of vegetation separating the lower part of the garden from the restaurant complex. It was singing in the morning, but later on I relocated it by hearing its sharp chip note.
Some of the other birds in the garden: Summer Tanager (first spring male), Warbling Vireo, Hooded Oriole feeding Bronzed Cowbird chick, Abert's Towhee, Northern Cardinal feeding young, Costa's Hummingbird, Brown-crested Flycatcher, Phainopepla.
