I tried to find the Western Grebe this morning between 7:45 and 9 AM. I came up empty looking from the fishing pier, the point parking lot and from Lewes Beach.

Most interesting find was a Harbor Seal in the shallows at the point.

Lynn Smith and I just back from the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park where we saw the Western Grebe. We were about half way out the pier and looking to the ferry area when we located the bird.

Also the Dickcissel was putting a really nice show at feeders at the Nature Center.
