Dear Dzmitry,
Your bird is rather pale for a classical tristis. Do you or anyone else have
pictures of Belaruss Chiffchaffs taken in August cq the beginning of
September?
All the best, Norman
>Thank you very much for your help with identification of Water pipit.
May be with your help will be possible to identify Phylloscopus sp., that
was registered on the bushy bank of big river Nioman near Hrodna city
(Western Belarus) 16-01-2012:
Pictures are here: http://birdwatch.by/naziranni/4132
It is only second registration of wintering *Phylloscopus* spp. in my
country, so our knowledge about wintering plumage of different species is
scarce. First time - in 2009 - the bird was identified as Siberian
Chiffchaff (*Phylloscopus collybita tristis) *and pictures of that bird are
situated with mark 2009 nearby new bird pictures for better comparision.
Thank you in advance
Yours
Dzmitry Vincheuski*
