Good Evening,
Today I assisted Dave Goodwin and St. Pete Audubon Society with the shorebird class for a local school at the North Beach Shorebird Area. Dave and I did birding before and
after the class and the Ebird list covers all birds seen during the day thru out Fort DeSoto. Highlights was a Peregrine Falcon harassing the shorebirds, a Parasitic/Pomarine
Jaeger light morph bird the was flying offshore of North Beach , and 15 Gannets feeding offshore and in the channel between Egmont Key & Fort Desoto. We could not find
the Lark Sparrow, Purple Sandpiper, or the Rose-breasted Grosbeak that have been seen in the park the last couple weeks.
