It looks like it's been well over a year since any Ammodramus sparrows other than GRSP have been
reported from Dougherty county (at least on eBird; non-eBird-using county year listers might know
differently), and it looks like non-GRSP Ammodramus have never been reported from the east Albany
sparrow fields off of Sylvester Hwy. Yesterday Trey McCuen found a probable Le C0nte's sparrow at
the sparrow fields in addition to finding the GRASSHOPPER SPARROW we all saw there. James Fleullan
and I got several views of the bird in flight and we're also 99% sure it was Le C0nte's, but as you
know, if you're not 100% it doesn't count. James also thought he had a Linc0ln's sparrow on Cobb
Cheek Road and I probably had it, too, but again, 99% does not a bird make! They haven't been
reported for that location on eBird either. eBird is fun.
Also seen 100% yesterday by 100% of us (I wish there were an eMammal):
Bobcat: Cobb Owl Fields
Gray Fox: Flint River WMA
Armadillo: Flint River WMA
Fox Squirrel (2): Lee County Prison
American Alligator (2): Lee County Prison (seen by 66.66% of us)
