I observed what seems to be a Juvenile Northern Goshawk on Sunday February
5th. It was located on private property south of Grant City, Ia. I have
gone back a few times since the siting but haven't had any luck locating
the bird. I did get some pictures, but because of the haze and distance
they didn't turn out very well. I have shared that picture with several
birders and they all agree that it is a Northern Goshawk or if they aren't
100% certain there is a very high likelihood that it is.
Other notes from this week- one female common redpoll was observed at the
feeder on Tuesday, and a male was spotted on Wednesday.
