Observed two Whooping Cranes for about 1/2 hour at Southwood yesterday. Cow field pond on private property on the back side of Southwood Plantation. Was informed by another birder on site that they are from the class of 2009, but I don't know. It probably goes without saying, but these birds should not be in any way approached!!!! We are very lucky to have them here - PLEASE don't do anything to startle or run them off.
