Maybe it's the drought. We provide water and have had quite a few birds,
including 7 Baltimore Orioles, a Summer Tanager, an Orange-crowned Warbler,
White-throated and Chipping Sparrows, Goldfinch, Yellow-rumped Warblers,
Red-winged Blackbirds, and the usual Cardinals, Titmice, and Chickadees.

I wonder if there has been any discussion about the lack of yard birds. It's
pretty different this season - by this time I was having goldfinches
visiting my yard like crazy and even spotting some additional warblers but
really there has not been many birds at all in my yard since fall.
Thoughts?
