I just found a HARRIS'S HAWK in Rachel. The bird is a near adult retaining
some juvenile characteristics on the belly and on the wing in flight. I was
able to get good photographs as the bird perched on an old rusted barrel.
The bird stayed low to the ground and would often land in the brush and hop
and walk around to look for food. There are no signs of captivity on this
bird so I will be submitting it to the NBRC for review and archiving.
