We were surprised this morning to have a Hermit Thrush in our back yard garden. This bird is by no means the hardiest of our thrushes but its over-wintering none the less.

Red-bellied Woodpecker, Northern Flicker and Purple Finches visited our feeders. Our five Baltimore Orioles and Northern Mockingbird have not been seen for two weeks. They either moved on with the fine weather we briefly had or were killed by accipiters.
