What a wonderful time we had at Nags Head. Thanks to Meredith, Lee, Jerry, Bill and all the other folks who made it happen. See Meredith's great write-up which was on VA-Bird this morning.
I was lucky enough to get a few nice photos which can be found on Flickr at the link below. There are several photos of the beautiful Virginia Rail, which was spotted by Mary Foster while we were at the viewing platform at Bodie Island Light. The bird was very cooperative while being mobbed by about 30 birders only 10-15 feet away.
