Two days spent in the Northeast Kingdom were very worthwhile and great for at least a taste of winter.
We had great looks at Gray Jays at Moose Bog, three yesterday and six today. One had a silver band on its right leg. We heard one Boreal Chickadee. Yesterday especially the White-winged Crossbills were singing and displaying and one had nesting material.
Today at Victory Basin two Barred Owls were responding to each other. Both places are innundated with Pine Siskins.
