Le 25 janvier, des agriculteurs sont venus manifester devant la
préfecture d?Arras pour dénoncer la prolifération d?espèces causant des
dégâts aux cultures, notamment les rats musqués et les lapins de garenne.
Leurs revendications, largement reprises par les médias, doivent être
entendues à la lumière des éléments suivants.
Certains agriculteurs demandent le retour à l?utilisation de produits
chimiques comme la bromadiolone, pour empoisonner légalement les espèces
qui posent des problèmes à l?agriculture. L?inefficacité et les dangers
de cette méthode sont reconnus. Cet anticoagulant puissant provoque
l?intoxication directe (ingestion des appâts) ou indirecte (ingestion
des cadavres) de nombreuses espèces, entraînant des répercussions en
cascade sur une faune déjà fragilisée par les activités humaines.
En novembre 2011, 14 cadavres de milans royaux et 8 cadavres de buses
variables ont ainsi été retrouvés dans le Puy-de-Dôme, sur des parcelles
traitées avec ce produit chimique. Face à cette hécatombe, le préfet du
Puy-de-Dôme a interdit, le 8 décembre dernier, l?utilisation de la
bromadiolone sur les 22 communes du département abritant des dortoirs de
milans royaux, rapaces protégés rares. Le préfet a également décidé de
déclasser temporairement le renard et les mustélidés de la liste des
"nuisibles". Ces prédateurs naturels jouent en effet un rôle
incontestable de régulation des rongeurs et micromammifères.
La gestion de ces espèces dans le Pas-de-Calais est catastrophique
: renard, martre, putois et belette sont classés « nuisibles » et
massivement détruits, alors qu?ils constituent les prédateurs naturels
des rongeurs. Ce constat a d?ailleurs motivé notre association à déposer
un recours contre ce classement incohérent auprès du Tribunal
administratif de Lille.
À titre d?illustration, un renard consomme 3 à 4000 rongeurs par an,
5000 renards sont détruits chaque année dans le département. Le calcul
est éloquent : ce sont des millions de rongeurs qui échappent chaque
année à une prédation naturelle !
Par ailleurs, le lapin est un gibier très prisé par les chasseurs qui
entretiennent ses populations pour favoriser la poursuite de leur
loisir. Des associations spécialisées dans la défense de ce petit gibier
oeuvrent ainsi dans le Pas-de-Calais avec comme objectif « de développer
le lapin sur l?ensemble du département, petit gibier de base par
excellence »? (cf. site de l?ADCPG 62 et ANCLATRA). Les agriculteurs se
trompent probablement de responsables?
Notre association vous demande instamment de refuser la lutte chimique
aux conséquences catastrophiques sur la chaine alimentaire et de retirer
de la liste des « nuisibles » les renard, martre, putois et belette sur
toutes les communes qui se plaignent des dégâts dûs aux rongeurs. Cette
mesure représente le seul moyen efficace, naturel et gratuit pour lutter
contre les dégâts causés aux cultures.

l’utilisation
de la
bromadiolone
sur les 22
communes du
département
abritant des
dortoirs de
milans royaux,
rapaces
protégés
rares. Le
préfet a
également
décidé de
déclasser
temporairement
le renard et
les mustélidés
de la liste
des
"nuisibles".
Ces prédateurs
naturels
jouent en
effet un rôle
incontestable
de régulation
des rongeurs
et
micromammifères. </div>
