All:

Apologies for a slightly off-topic question. I am trying to track down the location of a specimen of a butterfly (Pearly Marble) allegedly in Santa Barbara County, but possibly in SLO. I was hoping that some of the Carrizo experts here might be able to help. The location is:

SW slope of Saltos Mountain. 18.5 miles NW of New Cuyama

I have found a Saltos Canyon along Chimineas Ranch Road. Is there a 'Saltos Mountain' by this? If yes is there any chance the SW face could be in SBA county? Since the river appears to form the county line throughout this area, I am inclined to think that "Saltos Mountain" must be in SLO. However it would be great to confirm this.

Please send replies just to me.

Thanks,

Nick Lethaby
