This evening (5/22) Quinn and I visited Lytle Ranch, Washington Co. The
avian highlight was a Prothonotary Warbler in the big mulberry tree in the

Bullock's Orioles are always alternating with Black-Chins and
Broad-Tails at our hummingbird feeders,
but this is the first year I have watched Black-Headed Grosbeaks drink nectar.

There was still a good mix of shorebirds at mm 6 on the Antelope Island
Causeway today, including red knots, snowy plovers, black-bellied plovers
(lots), marbled godwits, willets, long-billed dowitchers, and some other
distant ones that I couldn't ID. There was a shrike on the island, along
with the usual suspects -

I went back to Bear River MBR today hoping there would be an influx of
