BELVIDE BIRDING

• Monday, March 23, 2009 - Belvide Afternoon Showers NW 6

By far the windiest day of the year so far. 2 Black-necked Grebe in summer dress was a welcome new arrival. This is the second year running that BN Grebe have turned up in March in what used to be a species mainly seen in May. The male White Wagtail was still present with 26 Pied Wagtail in the field behind the west end Hide. Meadow Pipit are starting to build up with at least 80 in the surrounding fields.
