BELVIDE BIRDING

• Thursday, September 3, 2009 - Belvide Cloudy W 5

The juvenile Curlew Sandpiper was present till 0830 only as it was scared off by a pesky Peregrine. 3 Green Sandpiper (photo), 2 Common Sandpiper, 4 Dunlin, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Ringed Plover and 1 LRP were also present. The adult and 1st winter Med Gulls were still present. 13 Common Tern went thru over the day. 1 Spotted Flycather was along the south east bay, other migrants included 1 Whitethroat, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 4 Swift. 3 Raven flew over this afternoon, single Goldeneye, Wigeon, Ruddy Duck and Shelduck were noted.
