This morning I finally managed to put GLOSSY IBIS on my Staffordshire list. Over the weekend I managed to miss the 2 different ringed individuals that have been present at Middleton Lakes RSPB reserve. Mid morning today news was broadcast of a Glossy Ibis again feeding on Fishers Mill pool. On arrival the bird was tucked in the far left corner meaning the bird was in Staffordshire (back of the net!!!!) Amazingly this bird had no rings on the legs so was an incredible 3rd different individual!! After watching the bird for 15 minutes the bird then flew up and flew to the other end of the pool which was in Warwickshire. After an hour or so the bird took flight again. this time flying deep into Staffordshire and landing at Drayton Bassett pits.
