BELVIDE BIRDING

The main news today was a first for Belvide in the shape of a RED VEINED DARTER. These scarce migrant dragonfly's are from the continant. They show a bright scarlet red body with red veins in the wings along with a distict yellowy patch with a brown bar on the wing tips. 2 were seen infront of the Bryant hide this afternoon and possibly 15 or more hawking over the main reservoir. On the bird front 12 Black-tailed Godwits were new in also1 Ringed Plover 1 Little Ringed Plover and a single Common Sandpiper.
