BELVIDE BIRDING

• Saturday, June 17, 2006 - Belvide 17th June 2006 Sunny W 1

With the birding front quiet there were plenty of dragonfly's to keep us interested. There were 20+ Red-veined Darters still, also a female Beautiful Demoiselle which is a very rare visitor, 2 Large Red Damselfly and many Black Tailed Skimmer and Emperor's. Butterflies seen were 3 Small Heaths a few Painted Lady's and many Common Blues. The only birds of note was the first returning Green Sandpiper and 6 Common Tern.
