BELVIDE BIRDING

• Monday, June 19, 2006 - Belvide 19th June 2006 Overcast W 2

Very quiet today. A pair of Redshank that nested a couple of fields west of the reserve appear to have brought their young onto the reservoir. They were going berserk at any Crow that came nearby. The only other birds of note were 5 Common Tern and 3 drake Teal.

June 18th

The moulting Mute Swan flock have risen to 71 birds. A Kinfisher was seen a couple of times this morning, the first time it has been seen for several weeks. 5 Common Tern and a single Little Ringed Plover were also present.
