| The good run of scarce insects continues with a Clouded Yellow butterfly at the west end this afternoon. 6 eclipse drake wigeon were new today and unusual to have this many at this time of year. there were also 10 Teal, 1 Dunlin, 2 LRP, 3 Common Sand, 1 Redshank and 5 Oystercatcher. A 1st summer Hobby was also seen today, showing a plumage I have only seen in Juvenile's in September, the bird showed overall brown upperparts and no red trousers. |
