BELVIDE BIRDING

The main item of news was a juvenile BONXIE that was found by Roger Clay at 6.15pm. It was present till 7.10 when it flew off to the south west. Also a smart 1st winter CASPIAN GULL was in the gull roost. A Pintail was new in and both the juvenile Black-necked Grebe and 2 Garganey were still present. 7 Greenshank, 6 Common Sand, 3 Ringed Plover, 2 LRP and 2 Golden Plover were the first of the autumn.Both Hobby and imm Peregrine were seen. Passage migrants included 4 Whitethroat, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Swift and a Yellow Wagtail flew over this evening. (Bonxie photo by Roger Clay)
