BELVIDE BIRDING

The main item of news today was a juvenile Red-necked Grebe that showed well infront of the Gazebo hide. This is the second record of the year following 2 birds on 12th February.Also present were 2 Greenshank, 3 Dunlin, 1 Ringed Plover and 2 Common Sand. Wigeon have increased to 10 also a juv Hobby and the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker on the woodland feeding station.An adult Mediterranean Gull roosted this evening. Finally the family of Common Terns that had bred have departed.
