BELVIDE BIRDING

• Saturday, September 23, 2006 - Belvide Sunny SE 2-3

Bird of the day was a juvenile Osprey that quickly passed thru to the south at 12.25pm, also an immature Merlin, Hobby, immature male Peregrine and at least 15 Buzzard ment 7 species of raptor were seen today. The 3 Little Stint were still present, Dunlin have increased to 11, also single Ruff, Greenshank, Common Sand and 2 Snipe.A juvenile Common Tern was present mid morning and the ringing group caught 1 Reed Warbler, 6 Chiffchaff and a Kingfisher.
