BELVIDE BIRDING

• Saturday, October 14, 2006 - Belvide Low Cloud SE 2

A total of 4 Rock Pipit were present this morning. 2 flew over to the south west and another 2 were feeding on the north shore. 2 Jack Snipe were new additions to the Belvide year list, also 38 Common Snipe, 2 Ruff, 4 Dunlin and 41 Golden Plover were present. A skywatch off the dam between 0750 and 0950 produced 2 Swallow, 1 House Martin, 95 Meadow Pipit, 44 Chaffinch, 8 Greenfinch, 43 Linnet, 5 Lesser Redpoll, 17 Siskin, 12 Pied Wagtail, 62 Skylark, 13 Song Thrush and 3 Mistle Thrush all were moving in a south to south west direction.
