BELVIDE BIRDING

• Wednesday, October 25, 2006 - Belvide Rain E 2-3

A single Wood Sandpiper at the west end was unusual for the time of year and the latest ever record at Belvide. A single Dunlin was still present also 145 Golden Plover and 42 Common Snipe. A Rock Pipit flew over to the south mid morning and the pair of Stonechat were still at the west end. A skywatch off the dam between 0805 and 0925 produced 592 Woodpigeon, 2 Fieldfare, 8 Redwing, 8 Lesser Redpoll and 2 Siskin.
