BELVIDE BIRDING

• Monday, December 25, 2006 - Belvide Overcast SE 1

A late afternoon visit produced 2 Yellow-legged Gulls in the roost including an adult and 1st winter bird. Also 1500 LBB Gull, 30 Herring Gull, 4000 BH Gull and 2 Common Gull. 5 Goosander and 43 Goldenye were counted at dusk. 2 Water Rail were again infront of the Scott hide, at least 2 Kingfisher and 2 Little Owl were also seen. There must be in the region of 2000+ Redwing and Fieldfare in the surrounding fields.
