BELVIDE BIRDING

Not a bad start to the year with 71 species recorded with a personel total of 69. A good gull roost this evening with 2 Caspian Gulls including an adult and 1st winter. Also 6 Yellow-legged Gull including 4 adults, 2nd winter and 1st winter. 3000 LBB Gull 3 GBB Gull and 2 Common Gull were also counted. A Green Sandpiper was feeding in a puddle below the dam, 300 Golden Plover were seen in the distance, The pair of Stonechat were still at the west end. 4 Goosander were counted at dusk and at least 40 Tree Sparrow were at the woodland feeding station, along with both Marsh and Willow Tit. Also a Water Rail was infront of the Scott hide.
