BELVIDE BIRDING

• Tuesday, March 6, 2007 - Belvide Fair SW 2-3

An immature Peregrine was seen this afternoon. A single Redshank was on the north shore along with 2 Curlew and 4 Oystercatcher. A Raven was mobbing a Buzzard to the east of the reserve. An estimated 10000 Starling were seen in the distance to the north of the reservoir heading in a north east direction. Finally the gull roost has plumeted in number with only 200 BH Gulls roosting and no large gulls at all.
