BELVIDE BIRDING

• Tuesday, March 27, 2007 - Belvide Foggy Morning Then Sunny

The first Little Ringed Plover of the spring was on the north shore also a single Green Sandpiper was a new arrival. Just 1 Sand Martin flew thru early afternoon. 1 Blackcap and still at least 12 Chiffchaff around the reserve. 4 Little Owl were seen today, a pair opposite the car park and a pair just west of the reservoir plantation. A flock of 40 Fieldfare flew over east along with a couple of Redwing. 3 pair of Kestrel were counted around the reserve. 46 Goldeneye were counted at dusk + 3 more Sand Martin.
