BELVIDE BIRDING

• Wednesday, April 4, 2007 - Belvide Sunny N 2

A gorgeous sunny day resulting with not much in the way of movement. A single Little Ringed Plover was on the north shore. An immature Peregrine flew over to the north. 12 Sand Martin were hawking high over the reservoir, 13 Chiffchaff were singing and the 2 Shelduck from yesterday were still present. 22 Greylag Geese was the highest count for several weeks. A single Redwing was still present and 5 Buzzard were counted. A Comma butterfly by the Gazebo hide was the first of the year and a Water Vole was in the ditch near the Bryant hide.
