BELVIDE BIRDING

• Tuesday, April 10, 2007 - Belvide Overcast W 2-3

2 Pink-footed Geese on the north shore were new for the year. A single House Martin was amongst 80 Sand Martin and 4 Swallow. A well grown Tawny Owl chick (photo) was a nice suprise as it sat high up in an ash tree in the reservoir plantation. Willow Warblers continue to be thin on the ground with just 2 today. The Redwing was again in the west marsh.
