A Common Sandpiper on the spill weir was the first of the year. The Tawny Owl chick was joined by one of its parents, again high up in an ash tree behind the Scott hide. 6 Blackcap were singing also 60 Goldeneye, 134 Tufted Duck, 50 Gadwall and 5 Wigeon were counted.
