BELVIDE BIRDING

• Monday, April 16, 2007 - Belvide Overcast start then Fair NNW 2-3

The first Common Tern of the year was present between 3.30-3.40pm. Other migrants present were 1 Sedge Warbler still in the west marsh, 3 Willow Warbler, 6 Blackcap, 3 Little Ringed Plover, 3 Sand Martin flew thru and a Swallow was lingering below the dam (photo). The 3 Tawny Owls including 1 adult and 2 chicks were sat in an oak tree in the reservoir plantation. The Redwing was again in the west marsh.
