• Saturday, May 5, 2007 - Belvide Overcast then Sunny N 1

2 drake Garganey were again present on the north shore but remained elusive. A Cuckoo was calling behind the Bryant hide which has been the worst year on record for this species at Belvide. Are they heading the same way as Turtle Dove? 6 Common Tern were present and the grey backed Yellow Wagtail was again in the west marsh. 9 Teal, 1 Wigeon, 1 Goldeneye were counted. The adult and 2 juvenile Tawny Owls were still showing well in the reservoir plantation. 2 pair of LRP were displaying.
