BELVIDE BIRDING

• Friday, May 25, 2007 - Belvide Cloudy NW 2

A single Ringed Plover was on the north shore with 2 LRP. 2 male Spotted Flycatcher were disputing territory in the reservoir plantation. The drake Wigeon was still present also a single Shelduck and 3 Pochard were noted. There are 2 pairs of Great Crested Grebe with broods of 4 and 3. 2 pairs of Great Spotted Woodpecker are busy feeding their young with both nests due to fledge any day now.

2 late items of news for yesterday was a drake Garganey and a Greenshank.
