BELVIDE BIRDING

• Monday, May 28, 2007 - Belvide Wembley Heartache

For me it was a day off from the golden pond to see my beloved Baggies play ay Wembley. On the way down a Red Kite was encountered off the M40 and also 2 Common Tern flew over Wembley stadium itself. It was a great day out depite the result. Wembley was a magnificent stadium, but what a pity about the 15000 empty seats that had a clear effect on the atmosphere. The match was a tight affair with Albion the better side possesion wise but never having the key to unlock a well organised Derby defence. I just hope we can bounce back from this devastating blow. Congratulations to Derby County FC.

On the Belvide front the drake Common Scoter was on the pager as still being present. Also a Hobby and a Whimbrel was heard this evening. Below photo of me as the ground starts to fill up, and a photo as we approach the ground.
