BELVIDE BIRDING

• Thursday, June 7, 2007 - Belvide Overcast E 2-3

The 2 drake Red-crested Pochard remain at the west end also 11 Shoveler and 5 Pochard were counted. A total of 36 Canada Geese goslings were also counted. The Oystercatchers appear to have lost 1 of their chicks with just 2 remaining and at least 1 Redshank chick continues to feed on the north shore. On the butterfly front 3 Small Copper and Meadow Brown were seen.
