BELVIDE BIRDING

• Friday, June 15, 2007 - Belvide Cloudy ENE 2 Another Good Bird

The excellent spell continues with an adult summer SPOONBILL seen flying in from the west before dropping on to the north shore at 12.05pm. It appeared settled as it fed well, but then got up and flew off to the north east at 12.20pm. This is the 7th record for Belvide and the first one since an immature was present on the 21st August 1998. Also present today was a single drake Red-crested Pochard, 32 Tufted Duck and 320 Coot were counted.
