BELVIDE BIRDING

• Saturday, June 23, 2007 - Belvide Cloudy W 2

After raining all day yesterday it was no suprise to arrive this morning to find the water level almost full to the brim. The pair of Oystercatchers nesting on the raft infront of the Gazebo hide have young, but I'm not sure how many. 4 Teal were new and Pochard have increased to 7. 372 Coot were also counted. 3 broods of Gadwall were seen this morning each with 10 chicks, also 43 Canada Geese goslings. Several Common Darters were fresh on the wing.
